After a Long Hard Day of Steering the Ship...

Just had to share this photo - I love our Pope!!

Knights!

On Saturday, Oct. 28th, the Bishop, Chris, and I participated in the 4th degree exemplification of the Knights of Columbus. The 4th degree is the highest degree one can attain in the fraternal order founded by Fr. Michael J. McGivney who's cause for sainthood is being investigated by the Vatican.
The Order was founded in 1882 in New Haven, Connecticut and is devoted to aiding families, the handicapped, encouraging vocations and the overall support of the work of bishops and priests. They have a great website which explains all the work they do and information on how to join.
In addition to all the charitable work they have all ready been doing in the diocese for years they have been instrumental in releasing Bishop Carlson's Rosary CD as well as aiding with partial scholarships for the seminarians.
I would encourage any catholic man out there to take a good look at joining the Knights of Columbus, they are a great instrument of bringing Christ to the world and in helping one practice his own faith a little more faithfully.
